I Knit Design Competition

We are thrilled to be hosting this competition to promote design talent. Entry is open to all. Juding will take place at the I Knit Weekender in September 2010. Email here for guidelines!

Three top prizes of £250, this is your chance to be the star of the show! The market has always been a huge star of the Weekender with more yarn than any other yarn show in the UK. Last year we had almost 60 vendors. Regulars like Knitwitches, John Arbon and Toft Alpaca, and new vendors like Habu will join us this year.

The classes will also be another main star of the 2010 event. We have more from our favourite Dutch Knitters, Icelandic lopi classes, lace classes and some of the best British designers like Erika Knight, Debbie Bliss, Martin Story, Wooly Wormhead, Susan Crawford and Marie Wallin. We are so thrilled to have so much British talent at the event we feel very lucky.

Talking of talent...a new exciting addition to the Weekender is the new knitting design competition.

There is a huge community built around I Knit and we see so much knitting and design talent both in our local community and internationally that we decided to offer a knitting design competition.

The prizes are huge! First prize is £250 plus lots of luxury yarns!

There are three categories to the design competition, lace, accessories and large garments. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for each category which means there are nine opportunities to win.
